Tank Screen Zoom Ksp

Mosquito-proof your tank

With its mosquito-proof 955 micron stainless-steel mesh, Tank Screens prevent mosquitoes from entering your tank via the tank inlets without interrupting the flow of water into your tank. They minimise splashing so you don’t just protect your rainwater – you get more of it.

Clipon Ts Ksp2

Keeps contaminants out

Tank Screens are the final barrier for keeping leaves, debris, mosquitoes and other pests out of your rainwater. Keeping these contaminants out helps to protect the quality of the water you collect.

Clipon Ts Ksp3

Easy to install

The 400mm Easy Fit Clip-on Tank Screen System is free of fasteners. The clip-on assembly function provides a fast, simple, safe and convenient way of inserting and removing the components of the system. No tools are required.

Product Overview

Tank Screens provide additional leaf filtering over the area where water directly enters your tank assisting with filtering leaves & debris.

Tank Screens with 955 micron mesh are legally required in some countries and regions (including many Australian states) to prevent mosquitoes from breeding in your tank, ensuring a secure system. Tank Screens are installed in tank inlets to keep mosquitoes and other pests out but to allow water to pass through at full flow.

  • Installation

TANK INLET RING, TANK SCREEN, SOLAR SHIELD AND TANK COVER

No tools required for the Ring, Tank Screen, Solar Shield and Cover

    1. Ensure your tank has a sheet metal top panel (0.6mm thick) with a 375mm ± 5mm diameter inlet hole.
    2. Install the Ring component by engaging each of the 3 main clips one at a time. The ring can be flexed to allow each clip to engage with the metal panel.
    3. Ensure the 6 small clips in the ring grip underneath the metal panel and the ring is fully seated all the way around.
    4. If using a Solar Shield, place it in to the ring so it is suspended in the tank inlet hole with the 3 arms resting in the location features on the ring. If the arms are not properly seated rotate the solar shield until the arms drop in to the location features on the ring.
    5. To secure a Tank Screen or Cover, place it over the ring so that the 3 clips on the tank screen align with the clips on the ring. Push down firmly on each of the 3 clips until you hear them click in to place.
    6. Ensure all 3 clips are secured.
    7. To remove a Tank Screen or Cover, lift each of the release tabs until they disengage and the screen or cover can be lifted off.NOTE: The Tank Cover is not designed to clip over the Tank Screen.

44MM EASY FIT TANK COVER GROMMET

    Tools/materials you may require

    • Drill with 44mm / 1¾ hole saw Hole Saw
    • Utility knife
    • Silicone

    Prepare the Grommets:

    1. The grommet can be used with submersible pump pressure pipe up to DN25 (diameter 33.7mm / 1.3in) and power cables. Power cable with a diameter of 9.5mm / ⅜in are best suited.
    2. Use a sharp knife to slit along the guide lines to create 8 flap segments. Cut fully along the guide lines for DN25 (diameter 33.7mm / 1.3in), or for smaller pipe sizes only slit as far as needed to be able to push the pipe through without being left with gaps around the pipe.
    3. To use with pump power cables, cut through the edge of the grommet to the cable hole along the guideline provided (cut through the edge closest to the hole). This allows the grommet to be clipped on to the power cable prior to installing the grommet.

    Install the Grommets:

    1. Use a 44mm / 1¾ hole saw to cut a hole through the cover at any of the 6 designated locations marked on the Cover. Remove burrs from the edges of the hole.
    2. For a pressure pipe grommet, first install the grommet in to the cover (see step 7), then push the pipe through the grommet (previously prepared with slit segments)
    3. For a power cable grommet, first clip the grommet on to the power cable so the cable passes through the hole in the grommet. Then install the grommet in to the Cover (see step 7).
    4. To install a grommet in to the cover, first get the grommet started in the hole at one side then push the edges of the grommet in until properly seated all the way around.
    5. If any gaps remain around the entry point of the pipe or cable, fill the gaps with small amount of outdoor silicone to fill the gap to prevent entry of mosquitoes.
