Using an innovative and slender shield design, the Leaf Eater Stream Shield effectively captures high quantities of rainwater by minimising the opportunity for incoming water to “bounce” off the rain head. This means that more water is collected and delivered to your storage tank.
The Leaf Eater Stream Shield’s 955 micron stainless steel mesh screen provides a highly effective barrier against mosquitos, pests, leaves and debris from entering your rain harvesting system and contaminating your rainwater.
With its open top design, cleaning and maintenance of the Leaf Eater Stream Shield is easy. Simply check the angled mesh screen for any built up leaves or debris and remove as required either manually or using a hose.
The Shield reduces splashing from the rain head to increase the volume of rainwater you capture. Keep leaves out of your rainwater system with the mosquito proof screen.
Rain Heads filter leaves and debris out of your downpipes with their 955 micron screens. They also minimise splashing to increase the volume of rainwater you harvest.
Rain Heads secure the system with the 955 micron mosquito-proof screens that prevent insects and other animals from entering and breeding or living in your downpipes.

Installation Guide
Locate the position at which you want to install your Leaf Eater Stream rain head. This may be directly under your gutter/eave or mid-way down your vertical downpipes. Wherever you choose to install it, your Leaf Eater Stream rain head must be a minimum of 500mm above your tank inlet and tank overflow pipe.
Cut your downpipe where you want the bottom outlet of the Leaf Eater Stream rain head to sit.
Make the second cut like shown above (Figure 1). Ideally, the pipe should be offset 30-50mm above the screen to give you the best performance. Ensure all cut edges are clean and smooth.
Lower the Leaf Eater Stream onto the pipe (Figure 2). For added stability, fasten it to the wall with a screw through the rear face of the body.
Install the Shield cover onto the Leaf Eater Stream body by sliding it up the top pipe and lowering it into position so the bottom skirt sits in the corresponding channel between the screen and body.
Occasionally your Leaf Eater Stream might require some maintenance.
Simply remove the cover to access the screen and brush off the screen, or remove the screen entirely for easier cleaning.
After cleaning, replace the screen into the body, making sure the it is evenly seated.
Replace your Shield Cover by sliding it up your inlet pipe and lowering into position so that the lower skirt sits in the gap between the screen and the body.
