  • Installation
    1. Determine and mark the position you would like to install your Diverter. Point the outlet in the direction you intend to route the hose. If you are connecting your Diverter to a rain barrel, make sure the diverter is mounted level to the inlet of the barrel, which will be just below the top of the rain barrel. Use a spirit level to check the height.

    2. Using the included hole saw, drill a hole in your downpipe at the marked position. Make sure to remove any burrs from the edge of the hole.

    3. Compress the rubber collector and push it through the hole, ensuring that it is oriented correctly to collect water. There is an indicator on the front of the collector to show the right way up. Using liquid soap to lubricate the rubber collector will make it easier to insert into the downpipe.

    4. Press the In-pipe Diverter onto the rubber collector. The mounting holes on the In-pipe Diverter body will align with the holes on the rubber collector.

    5. Screw the main housing to the downpipe using only moderate torque to ensure the screws do not strip out. This will seal the Diverter to the Downpipe.

    6. Screw on either the 1/2” garden hose or 1 1/4” hose fitting onto the nozzle.

    7. Connect the hose to your rain barrel or rainwater tank as required.

    8. Make sure the On/Off knob is set to the position you require.
